With the recent strikes on civilians in Gaza and ISIS attacks in Iraq, the violence happening in the world against innocent people is staggering. What is strange is that when you look at these two atrocities, they are based on false religion meaning ther actions violate their groups’ own teachings not to harm, kill and steal from people. Officials and the media can say otherwise, that it is defense or aggression in retaliation but the sheer civilian toll and destruction of homes and personal property is not connected to any religious text – it is against them all.
When you think about Israel, a country that has been attacked by rockets which are not acceptable either, why would they destroy hospitals, buildings, UN refugee centers in schools, power plants – because there are rockets hiding there? The rockets have been there for a long time. Wasn’t the basis for this new “operation” the kidnapping of 3 Israeli youths? Hasn’t blame for this crime been admitted by an ISIS affiliate?
So is ISIS operating in Gaza? The level of force against the Palestinians seems disproportionate and with the amount of destruction in Gaza. I wonder if there is a group, perhaps the same group that kidnapped the 3 Israeli teens, which was not Hamas – that is hiding rockets to assist with the targeting of badly needed infrastructure, powerful political people who may help to build Palestine as a strong nation and to scare the people of Gaza into leaving the area? Gaza is a valuable piece of coastline.
So when looking at this further, at the very roots of the conflict, neither Judaism nor Islam would encourage the killing of innocent civilians to take their land. Both faiths have protested against the situation in Gaza and to a lesser extent Iraq.
Israel’s cause in Gaza is potentially rooted in extremism and removing Palestinians from their land.
According to many far right – now main stream – politicians inside Israel including Moshe Feiglin, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset who said, “Gaza is part of our Land and we will remain there forever. Liberation of parts of our land forever is the only thing that justifies endangering our soldiers in battle to capture land” http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/15326
So it is clear from his words what their intent is. It is not to just eliminate danger to Israel, but to take Palestinian land. He goes on to say Palestinians will be removed or can stay and be given permanent resident status- not citizenship. So the people who’s land it is, Palestinians, will no longer be citizens on their own land? It is pretty clear why the situation is going on in Gaza right now is happening – goals, objectives, intent, reasoning behind, etc. have all been written about. It is not rockets.
If Israel was happy with what it received by the United Nations and focused on building what they have as well as being a good neighbor to Palestinians there would be far fewer problems. The key here is in the coveting of land belong to another people including the Bedouins.
According to the 10th Commandment, “You Shall Not Covet”: From http://www.vbm-torah.org/parsha.63/17yitro.htm “The Rambam (Hilkhot Gezeila Va-aveida 1:11) writes:
‘Desire leads to coveting, and coveting leads to stealing. For if the owner (of the coveted object) does not wish to sell, even though he is offered a good price and is entreated to accept, the person (who covets the object) will come to steal it, as it is written (Mikha 2:2), ‘They covet fields and (then) steal them.’ And if the owner approaches him with a view to reclaiming his money or preventing the theft, then he will come to murder. Go and learn from the example of Achav and Navot.’ “
Feiglin and others in Israel are obviously coveting Palestinian land, and it has lead to murder on all sides. It is simple. Proposed settlements are coveting land that does not belong to the settlers. Settlers have stolen land. What have settlements caused?
Israelis claim to be “God’s chosen people.” Why would they violate one of God’s very simple laws?
God does not say, “All other people but Israelis should not covet.” He said “You (All) should not covet.”
This brings forth what is required of God’s chosen people – to be a leader by example.
If everyone did what Israel is doing which is use a disproportionate amount of force to combat a problem based on a hidden desire to take someone elses property, the world would be destroyed unless it is stopped.
Being a leader by example is sustainable and requires self discipline. When thinking about the popular biblical quotation, “the meek shall inherit the earth,” according to Steven Chandler, ” Many scholars believe that the familiar Biblical quotation “The meek shall inherit the earth” is the result of inaccurate translation. In their view, the Greek word praos, which was translated “meek,” should have been rendered as “trained” or “disciplined.” This alteration gives an entirely different meaning to the phrase.”
So, is it OK to be disciplined at coveting?
No, because when you are truly self disciplined, you do not need or want someone/groups land/belongings because you can provide it for your self and have no need to commit a crime.
Now on to ISIS which is exhibiting similar traits – coveting and killing. Here is the side by side version of the 10 Commandments and the Confirmation in Qur’an. Here it is also simple. “If anyone has killed one person it is as if he had killed the whole mankind.” http://www.islam-usa.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=118:the-ten-commandments-and-confirmation-in-quran&catid=60:articles&Itemid=145
What is interesting is that this Islamic extremism is not Islamic, it potentially originates with a British Spy back in 1703.
“It was not legal in Islam for a Muslim to fight another Muslim. Therefore, in order to rile the Arabs against their Turkish brethren, it was necessary to first create a new interpretation of Islam that would sanction such murder, but under the guise of Jihad. This new interpretation came to be known as Wahhabism, and was founded by British agent, Mohammed Abdul Wahhab,” according to David Livingstone, author of Black Terror, White Soldiers, Islam, Facism & The New Age. (http://www.terrorism-illuminati.com/wahhabis#.U9aYkLGmWSo) Wahhab had come in contact with a British Spy by the name of Hempher who was working for the British government seeking ways to undermine the Ottoman Empire.
Their relationship was written about in “The Memoirs of Mr. Hempher: A British Spy to the Middle East said to have been published in series in the German paper Spiegel, and later in a prominent French paper. A Lebanese doctor translated the document to Arabic, from which it was translated to English and other languages. The Memoirs outlines the autobiographical account of Hempher,” according to Livingstone. The funny thing about Mr. Hempher is that although he was working for the British, he also found the divisions between Shias and Sunnis as a weakness.
One interesting thing Hempher said, “One day in the Ministry of Colonies I made a reference to the difference between the Sunnites and the Shiites, saying, ‘If Muslims knew something about life, they would resolve this Shiite-Sunnite difference among themselves and come together.’ Someone interrupted me and remonstrated, ‘Your duty is to provoke this difference, not to think of how to bring Muslims together.’ “
It was obvious how these differences could be exploited and when a new group within Muslims was created this could be exploited as well to create further divisions and enable the weakness the British were seeking. And they were exploited as were the teachings of the Qur’an by the British and also by those in high level positions in the Islamic community seeking power over the people.
The key, when you uncover the core of both Wahhabism and Zionism as well as forms of Islam, Christianity and Judaism carved to shape the elite’s power needs, is that they violate the very basic laws put forth by God in all of these religions and also the laws in within their respective countries.
So why is it OK to covet, kill and steal? Is it because we are still manipulated by the elite playing on our differences to break us apart as a people so that we are OK with what we are witnessing?
We are all human and the best thing we can do is love our neighbors as ourselves. Peace on Earth is our birth right. Don’t let it be stolen.
